We noticed on WeGIF.com that Mac computers sometimes do not select the built in iSight by default and instead of seeing yourself, you will see a white box. This is a very simple to resolve issue caused by the fact that the Adobe Flash Player camera setting on a Mac typically defaults to the DV camera instead of the USB (iSight or other webcam).
To get your camera working all you have to do is right-click (or command click) in the center of the flash area on the Create page. It may not be obvious where the flash area starts and ends so a safe way to do it is to right click on the Create From Webcam button, select Settings, then go to the webcam tab (look for webcam icon). On the webcam tab, there will be a drop-down with multiple options. Try clicking on the various options and look for something called USB or iSight, or maybe just recognize the brand of your webcam. If you are already on the create from webcam screen, the video should begin immediately.
Hope this helps and check out the video version below.
